We are a social networking group of photographers and cosplayers in the Chicago geek community. We provide unique safe spaces for local photographers and cosplayers to meet, collaborate, learn, raise money for charities, and simply have fun.
Who is CosMeetup Chicago?
Established in 2019, we started out organizing in-person cosplay photography meet-ups locations throughout the city of Chicago from Lincoln Park to Chinatown to University of Chicago.
While meet-ups will always be the beating heart of the group, we’ve branched into hosting photography classes, virtual events, convention after-parties, convention pop-up studios, and more.
Okay, But what do you do?
Through the years, we’ve developed a reputable vetting system to ensure members feel confident they are working with people who will treat them respectfully.
While we are strict when it comes to respect and consent, we are very open in every other sense. We welcome every local cosplayer and photographer regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, or experience.
